Reading a Peptide COA
How to read the Certificate of Analysis that ships with every batch.
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is the independent lab report documenting what is actually in a given batch. Reading it takes a minute and tells you whether a product matches its label.
What a COA documents
- Identity — confirmation the peptide is the compound named
- Purity — the percentage of the target peptide in the sample
- Appearance and net content
- The batch or lot number it applies to
Why it must be batch-specific
A COA is only meaningful for the exact batch it was run on. A generic or undated certificate tells you nothing about the vial in your hand — always match the lot number.
Third-party accreditation
The strongest certificates come from an independent, ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory rather than the seller’s own testing. Accreditation means the lab’s methods are externally audited.
